Who’s My Boss?

JUMP INTO THE DEEP

It’s been six weeks now since my big move into a new field and industry. Pretty exciting actually! I’ve been meeting many people day by day, making new friends from different walks of life. In this season, I got to catch up with long lost friends and ex-colleagues too, which is so refreshing.

I learn a lot from class, through individual coaching and the joint field work with my manager – talk about enlarging my capacity! I like the feeling of being challenged to grow. There are moments though that it gets overwhelming and I just enter into a blank stare. Haha!

WEARINESS CREEPING IN

There had been ups and downs in a given day. And you know for a fact that for fresh starters like me, it would definitely mean more downs in reality. I can’t remember how many times I cried or felt like crying. The battle is raging from the inside – turmoil in my mind and heart. It gets worse when I get weary after a long day of appointments and nonstop talking.

MY ULTIMATE BOSS

Then during my devotion, God reminded me that He is the ultimate Boss I am working for. When I see it as that and when my real motivation is to serve Him and the people He let me to cross paths with, then I shouldn’t be bothered about my promotion and paycheck. They all come from God. He chooses when and how to give them to me (and how much..hehe).

I shouldn’t worry when things don’t go well either. My response in any circumstance should be glorifying to God, continually praising and thanking Him for all its worth. Why should I do that? Because the reality is, I don’t see the bigger picture. God does!

If I knew a breakthrough is just around the corner, I wouldn’t be downtrodden, right? I just might be singing and hopping through my daily grind, having spring in my steps and all smiles to everyone. It’s hard to be sad when you know of good news, correct?

All the more I need to put my faith in action and thank God in advance for the marvelous plans He is orchestrating for my life. He is a good God, an awesome Master. I need to daily declare that He is in charge and that I must do my utmost best to serve Him in a way that pleases Him.

“Put your heart and soul into every activity you do, as though you are doing it for the Lord himself and not merely for others. For we know that we will receive a reward, an inheritance from the Lord, as we serve the Lord Yahweh, the Anointed One!”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3:23-24‬ ‭TPT‬‬
